But the plastic swords just slide in. Like 1 inch wide and 1 or so thick would fit. **Q: can you fight with them** A: They are made of a hard, brittle plastic and aren’t very flexible, so I wouldn't recommend fighting with them. My boys broke one of the swords play fighting. **Q: can the swords come off the backpack?** A: Yes, the swords come off the backpack.
