Review: Parfait merci !
Review: I can’t say enough good about doctor turtle. Honestly, it was one of those things I bought on a whim, & I was cleaning my 40 gal tank once every 3-5 days, like a full clean, constantly. I was worn down and really upset that no matter what I did or tried nothing worked to keep it even somewhat clear/healthy. In addition to what I normally do, this really seems to clear up the water and keep it healthy, it’s literally a blessing to me. It’s been 8 day’s and the water is still clear, so I’m all about that. Also using it with another brand calcium block and reptoguard so maybe they work well together. Whatever it is, I’ll never go back to what I was doing before and my turts seem much happier to not be moved to their holding tank a few times a week, less stress for them and much less stress and worry for me as well; we’re all happy as clams :) if you have a tank that won’t stay clean no matter what you try, give this a shot, in conjunction with a good filter, filter media, conditioner, reptoguard, and whatever else you add to your tank, I’m also currently using Paraguard and that seems to also work wonders, I was seeing these tiny worms in my filter and I haven’t seen them since I’ve been using the Paraguard so I’m a happy camper, fingers crossed they never stop making these products, just in case I’ll stock up, suggest any turtle lover does the same :)

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have 3 RES turtles, they keep eating this thing in few days. Is that okay?**
A: Yes, it is OK. My turtles (red ears, maps, and cooters) do that too. Many years ago, I had 2 map turtles, both of which lived for 26 years, that ate calcium blocks when offered. The turtles I have now totally consume these blocks in 3 days, and the turtles are growing very fast and have very hard shells. Apparently, it is instinctive for turtles to consume rich calcium sources such as this.

**Q: Can I use in fish tank to raise ph?**
A: I do mine

**Q: Can this be used in place of a water conditioning liquid? Does it make water safe for fish as well or do I need a separate water conditioner for fish?**
A: No, It does not take the place of water conditioning liquid. It does not remove chlorine or chloramines. These blocks simply adjust pH and water hardness.

**Q: You you have to have a certain amount of water in the tank to use the Dr. Turtle block?**
A: No but if you're doing a bare bottom tank the block will leave a calcium spot on the glass that I never could seem to completely get off

I know many use the Dr Turtle Slow-Release Calcium Block for other pets, but I just want to note that it's perfect for my Mystery Snail. The water parameters stay at a perfect hardness to keep his shell a beautiful golden color and without pivots, cracks, or marks.
