There is a thin layer of adhesive or something encasing the charcoal itself which causes the sharpening blade (brand new) to snag and break each pencil. I have directly compared these new productions to old General’s ones and the issue does not exist on the older ones. Every other charcoal pencil I use has wood, and charcoal.. no layer of adhesive or binding or whatever it is in between. Review: Je m'attendais à une boîte de crayons fusains General 's HB et j'ai reçu un seul crayon peel dur (qui n'est pas très dur et qui s'efface mal à la gomme mie de pain). Je suis donc très déçue parce que je ne suis pas habituée à ce genre de prestation de la part de Jackson's et que je ne peux pas le retourner parce que j'étais en panne de crayon fusain.
