I've bought several and rotate them after cleaning it real good........ hope this helped... **Q: Would this sponge be big enough to fit on the intake of an aquaclear 70 filter?** A: No because the AquaClear 70 tube is wider and the intake slits are longer than the Aquaclear 20/50 tubes which I have used this filter for. Only draw back is that it is a little loose and closed on the bottom. I cut a tiny slit in the bottom and push that end up onto the intake tube. It then fits snuggly and is the perfect length. But what I DO like, and the reason I keep buying them, is because they are coarse and don't get clogged.
