The raised edges dimension is equivalent to other brands that have very heavy armor, the difference in the less protection in between the raised edges, giving it the minimalist feel. I prefer the minimalist feel, but most brands out there don't feel secure in the hands and don't provide enough edge or screen protection.There are a few features of the raised edges that I really like. First, the face side is raised at least 1.5mm. I couldn't measure exactly with the ruler I have, but it looks like it is between 1.5mm or maybe slightly more, but less than 2mm. Most other brands have super thick armor in the back but totally ignore the face area giving it under 1mm raised edges. I suppose that if it falls flat face side and with even the slightest flex in the phone from the drop, the screen is a goner. Second feature I really like about the raised edges is the knobbly feel it give the phone when holding it in your hands. It feels very secure, which my other case with flushed sides lacks. With the heavy armor case (Elite brand), I feel like it will slip from my hands every time I want to take a photo. The rubber also feels less slippery compared to Elite brand (which I bought and returned). To me, protection could be by avoidance or by collision, like using anti-lock brakes to avoid collision in a car, or use airbags and seatbelt to protect person during collision. In my opinion, I think the avoidance is probably more important. If I can prevent dropping my phone, then the chance of breaking my phone is probably far less than if just depend on a strong case to protect the drop. While I never dropped my phone yet in the month that I own this case, I think the edges should protect my phone adequately if it does drop.I would still recommend using a screen protector. My previous 5s iphone with screen protector survived a few drops to the concrete with damage to the screen. This 6s phone is heavier than a iphone 5s so in my opinion, it there will be more force when striking the ground, which means it'll also need more protection than a smaller phone.I paid full price for the case for the review, but it would have been nice to get it for free. ;) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Quality case with satisfying look *by J***Z on Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2019* This case has a hard back with tpu bumpers. It gives the best amount of protection while being easy to put on and take off. The buttons are super clicky; they surprised me. Love that I could still keep the tactile feel and sleek look. It is thin but has enough border on the corners to lift it so it doesn't touch the table. I highly recommend it if you are in the market for a clear case. Not to mention its only 6 bucks while feeling like its 20. It fits perfectly on my phone. The buttons are easy to press, and my headphones and charger fit perfectly also. It protects my back camera and phone edges. It’s not bulky (although it does add roughly 1/2cm on each side because of the edges, which doesn’t make a difference at all). It is also easy to put on and take off. I was a little skeptical about buying this case at first, but now I’m really glad I bought it. It looks just like it does in the picture.
