From the Manufacturer This is a genuine replacement part. The model number and name for the following item is: Whirlpool 12002351 Motor Kit. Review: Good replacement motor - Purchased this motor to replace our vintage (1980's) Maytag washer motor. The motor seems to be a refurbished one (how it was packaged) but for the money, it keeps our old faithful washer unit running. The wiring connections come with an end piece adapter that you just connect color to color - and ground it per the usual way in the machine. Not very complicated. We took photos of how our old motor was connected and mounted to match up with the new motor installation. Would seem simple to remember how things go together, but we are glad we had those photos to refer to. Running the new motor seems to be a bit louder than our old one, but we are very happy with the purchase and having a working machine again. (The 'white' color in description really makes no sense - it is just a silver color motor.) Review: Drop In Place Replacement for My Circa 1980's Maytag Washer - As advertised, this motor was a very nice replacement. I needed this because my washer motor started smoking when stressed (full bin of water and clothes), and was no longer able to handle the spin cycle. It's been 38 years, so sure, it was time. ;) It was easy to replace; there are still excellent videos out there on how to do it. It's been a few months now, and I see no issues. Works well. ## Features - This is a Genuine Replacement Part. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00DZU8ZZO | | Batteries Included? | No | | Batteries Required? | No | | Best Sellers Rank | #225,351 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #320 in Refrigerator Replacement Motors | | Brand Name | Whirlpool | | Color | White | | Compatible Device | MAYTAG,JENN-AIR | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars (53) | | Date First Available | July 30, 2008 | | Included Components | Single FSP Whirlpool 12002351 Washer Motor Kit, One Speed, 120V | | Is Discontinued By Manufacturer | No | | Item Weight | 13.1 pounds | | Item model number | 12002351 | | Material Type | Multi-Material | | Model Info | 12002351 | | Part Number | 12002351 | | Product Dimensions | 1.5 x 2.5 x 3.5 inches | | Voltage | 120 Volts | ## Images ![Whirlpool 12002351 Motor Kit - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71wKmNKz2VL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Will this work for a maytag atlantis model #s68pxmbp-1054?** A: I am not sure, however it is a very commonly used motor. The installation is rather simple as I have discussed in my review of the product. There is a great website, partselect.com that you can research on. **Q: This motor is bolted to a plate. Does the motor bolt squarely on the plate or is it bolted at an angle to the plate?** A: The whirlpool model on which i used this motor had the motor mounted at a 45 degree angle to the side/front of the machine, but it was square on the plate to which it was affixed. **Q: Will this fit model #11028847700 kenmore residential washers** A: I believe so. This is a very generic motor and fits 90% of older brands. When you order, a box pops up and asks you for the model # of the washer and will tell you if this motor fits. Very easy to install (1hr.) and your family will think you're and Wizard. **Q: Is this a two speed motor** A: No ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good replacement motor *by R***D on May 2, 2021* Purchased this motor to replace our vintage (1980's) Maytag washer motor. Works well. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Worked Well .... But ... *by J***T on July 15, 2025* Ultimately the motor worked fine and was easy to replace. BUT, the 1st motor that was sent was clearly previously returned (based on the random packaging) and the motor shaft wouldn't even turn by hand. I didn't fully realize this until I had it fully changed it out. Seller sent a replacement right away that was new and worked fine. But I had to spend a lot of extra time installing, uninstalling and reinstalling as well as repackaging the bad motor and taking it to a UPS facility to return it. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.pl/products/26427689-whirlpool-12002351-motor-kit](https://www.desertcart.pl/products/26427689-whirlpool-12002351-motor-kit) --- *Product available on Desertcart Poland* *Store origin: PL* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
