These are not the official BSA kits. If you are allowed to use kits other then BSA kits, these would be acceptable. **Q: I need to know if these wheels remove material from inside the wheel surfaces** A: These wheels are not machined at all, they are the way they come from our molding company. The added instruction sheets and baggies to separate the car kits to hand out were a nice touch. Just remember, these kits DO NOT HAVE WEIGHTS included with them. No big deal for most, but for some of the kids/families, they had trouble figuring out how to add weight to their cars or didn't know the needed or could add more weight. (It didn't occur to me until the race that not everyone would figure this out on their own, so the kids that did add weight dominated. Next time I will give everyone something printed suggesting weight options and limits, or just include some in the kit. IMO better than official BS kit. But by our CS pack's rules we have to use the official wheels. Even with the wheels ($10 wheel +$5 per car in a kit) it is still cheaper than the official car (about $18). I bought it for a sibling that is not in BS so she still qualified.
