Just wondering if I could ask my friend to pick it up for me?** A: The package is the size of the table top. Depends on if your friend is one of these people that can carry lots of weight. Because the box is very heavy. **Q: Are the tabletop and lower shelf and side shelves made of plastic coated wood or are they solid plastic?** A: Plastic covered **Q: Does this table shake when sewing at full speed?** A: i dont think so from what i could tell. But I am a total amatuer that only bought the table and a hd singer sewing machine to do a project i wanted to try. Never sewn a day in my life before this, and i didnt really do full speed but a few times in spurts. Probably the only reason my fingers arent sewn together. The table seems solid to me. Did come with some damage though. Chips out the the top here and there. Hopefully you will get some more experienced opinions !!! **Q: What material are the tabletop, shelves, and lower shelf made from? Are they plastic coated wood or solid plastic?** A: It is a white melamine over particleboard, which is pretty consistent with what I paid for it. The metal frame is sturdy enough for the project table or computer desk it is designed for. If the particle board is a problem, it can be easily replaced with solid wood.
