Seems like every time I went to Walmart to buy it, the price had gone up again.. So, of course, I came to Amazon to see what I could find.. The price on Amazon is about .14 a yard compared to the cheapest 1/4" elastic at Walmart, which is about .25 a yard. When you use a lot of it, that really adds up quickly, plus it's nice to have this much on hand so I don't have to keep opening new packs of elastic, which are then laying loose on my workspace. I find this very convenient having it rolled up on a spool..As for the elastic itself, it's stretchy, but not exactly like the product I used to buy from Walmart. Walmarts brand is a bit softer and has a little more stretch, but for what I use this for, it's fine..Elastic is normally encased in a seam, so the softness really doesn't matter, and I've found that it stretches just fine. Plus, I had noticed that the Walmart brand had become prone to ravel, and I haven't seen any raveling with this elastic at all.
