As soon as I got home I purchased an upgraded AMS reel to make the reeling much faster. You can hand reel the spool, but it is slower, so an upgrade is much more helpful. The bow is great. The finger savers are nice helpful if your spending the day bow fishing. The nock eventually broke off of the arrow after about twelve trips down the James River, but that was due to a lot of abuse. This bow is nice and light and not too long compared to similar versions of other brands. I also upgraded the arrow rest to an AMS enclosed rest because occasionally the arrow would fall off of the side and I would have to use my finger to hold it in place until I was ready for a fish. An enclosed arrow rest allows you to take your finger off of the arrow and is much easier when on the water all day. I would suggest this bow to anybody who is interested in trying bowfishing for the first time. It has everything you need for the first time out: Bow, spool, string, and an arrow. This is by far the best, I may be biased at this point due to having used compound bows predominately but none the less this bow is incredible. It is not heavy, it feels great in the hand and the draw weight is perfect. This rig allows enough power to sink an arrow in a fish as well as shoot completely through depending on how far your draw it, all the while maintaining a smooth pull and straight shot.
