## Description

The WEEKENDER from Retrospect is our best selling and most versatile inflatable standup paddleboard. At 10' long, it's easier to maneuver and less intimidating for beginning boarders. Carry it around with ease using the extremely sturdy handle in the middle of the front of the board. The rounded hull and 30" width improve stability while the textured foam deck pad makes standing more comfortable and less slipping prone. The WEEKENDER is a great choice for adventurers of all skill levels. Relax as you move through calm waters with the three-piece ultra lightweight, durable, and adjustable aluminum paddle. It weighs less than 2 pounds but is very sturdy. This is the most stable board shape and is the best board for yoga. Our boards are made of military-grade PVC, which basically means they're indestructible. When fully inflated, the WEEKENDER is just as stiff and stable as a traditional SUP. But when you deflate and roll up your board, you will be amazed how easy paddle boarding has become. When collapsed, our boards measure approximately 11x36" and are incredibly easy to load and unload. This small package can be effortlessly stowed in any nook or cranny, whether you're boating, camping, or simply heading to the water for the afternoon. This bundle comes with the 10' board, a 3PC aluminum paddle, 3 removable fins, a high pressure manual pump, and a Ruck Sack paddleboard bag. Check out our selection of bags for even easier transport! Adventure awaits.

    Seriously, an inflatable paddleboard!

*by C*** on Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2015*

I love paddleboarding, but I live in a small cottage at the beach and don't have the room to store a bulky board when I'm not using it so I've considered an inflatable board for awhile. My concern was that it wouldn't be firm enough to be stable or that it would be easily damaged, but this crazy-cool paddleboard has eased my fears. I took it to the beach yesterday and it was great. I put it in a wagon and wheeled it across the street to the beach where I inflated it. Our beach is a little rocky, so it was worried that the board might be delicate if it came in contact with rocks, but it was fine (I wouldn't intentionally bang it on the rocks, but if it came in contact with one I don't think it would be a serious issue.) It's a big board and it's nice and wide so it's excellent for less experienced boarders. I was out on it for about an hour and it stayed fully inflated and as solid as a standard board the entire time. I did notice that one reviewer complained about the exertion of pumping it up, but I didn't think it was a problem at all. That same reviewer also complained about how exhausting paddlingboarding is in general, so I guess to that I'd say, yeah, stand up paddlingboarding is a more demanding physical activity than sitting down paddling a kayak or canoe. If you've never tried it, it's an excellent way to work your core, but if you aren't already in fairly decent condition to begin with, it's likely to wear you out at first - if you stick with it you'll get into great shape. I would certainly not recommend that someone invest in this or any other SUP without trying the sport out first - it really works for some people and other people just hate it! I have friends who regularly do yoga on their SUPs and I think this board might be really good for that, so I'm going to meet up with them and give it a try.If you're at all paranoid about sharks, you should consider limiting it's use to fresh water - I live at the ocean and the only thing that worried me at all is the extremely remote possibility of a shark attack. No, seriously, it happens occasional here - sharks love to bite surfboards, evidently they confuse them for turtles. If a shark takes a bite out of a foam board, it will still float, but this... The thing that eases my mind is that this is so much bigger than a regular surfboard, a shark would have to be a serious badass to take a run at it - and if that's the case, just being in the water, board or no board, would be equal risk. I'm in the water several times a week, snorkeling, diving, swimming, paddling, or boarding, and have been for years, and though I've seen a few reef sharks, neither me or any or anyone I know has ever had a confrontation, so I think I'll be okay on this board. This is a good recreational paddleboard, so if you're looking for a performance board, you probably won't be satisfied with it. This board is designed for people like me who want to have access to a paddleboard once in awhile, but who don't have room to store one. When deflated, this board rolls up to about the size of two sleeping bags stacked end on end, so it fits easily in a coat closet. We put ours in the linen closest and it fit on the floor under the shelves with some free space left over on the floor. It comes with a pump and a repair kit, if you need it, so it's a complete set. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with a duffel bag to put it in when you're hauling it or storing it, but any cheapo duffel will work as long as it's big enough (36" x 16" would work, but 36" x 18" would make it easier to load in the bag.) I'll put up a video when I get a chance, because this board is really something you have to see to believe! Oh, and if you are going to use it in anything bigger than a swimming pool, you should definitely get a leash for it.PS - Writing reviews has become an accidental hobby for me, and it always makes my day to know that people find my reviews helpful (and if not, why.) Also, if you have any questions, clarifications, or comments please feel free to leave a comment below. I usually respond pretty quickly and almost always within 24 hours. This item was provided for review consideration.

    Good for family fun!

Update: third summer using this paddle board, still love it!UPDATE: We used this board at least 10 times last summer. We're considering buying another, but want to take it out this summer a couple times before deciding. What I can say about this board is that it can hold more than 250 lbs, my husband and I would use it as an island and jump/dive/flip off it into the lake and we easily weigh 380 together. Sometimes my husband or I would lay flat on the board while the other paddled around the lake because we were too cheap to buy two. It was fun, we love it.So far, so good. We received this last week and took it out yesterday. It does take some endurance to pump up, but my husband and I took turns. I took it out with my sons on board, by myself and then let my 8 year old try it alone. Every instance was a good experience. I even jumped off it into the lake and climbed back on and it didn't tip.If youre anything like me and think- inflatable paddleboard? How does that even work?! Trust me, once it is inflated it is like a wooden board. I could knock on it and the neighbors would check their front door. My husband put it between two chairs and sat on it, all 200 lbs of him- until I yelled at him to quit. It is amazing! We wanted a board that the whole family could use for fun. We aren't going to race it or use it for exercise, but more for an enjoyable day at the lake and maybe sunbathing in the water. I also have plans with my husband to do tricks on it and see if we fall off. Yesterday, I jumped on it and landed it without falling into the water! Cartwheels and handstands are next.

Great board for a great price !

This board is exactly what I was looking for!So firstly, the bag was a little larger than what I was expecting (but I think that’s on me haha). But I love that I have a place to store the board and all it’s accessories. The major reason myself purchasing an inflatable board was because I could take my paddle board in my little car with no racks.Inflating is much quicker than I expected! It is tiring but not too much. Just take some breaks here and there. My sister pitched in about half way and with two people it’s barely tiring. The pump comes with a gauge on it so you can be confident you have your board to the right PSI.Although I loveeeeee my board, it is not as stable as a hard board. Yet it’s pretty darn close. Compared to the BOTÉ board, I would say this is just as durable and stable without being triple the price.I encourage someone thinking about purchasing this board to find a place to try out an inflatable board first so they understand how it feels different than a hard board. I found it to be stable and great!! But have been on an inflatable board before so I knew what to expect.I read on here that the board is good for dogs. I’m a little hesitant to try, but will update later.Deflating and rolling back up is a breeze. My only criticism is there wasn’t much instruction on it with the pamphlet that came with the board. I had to YouTube it. For those wondering, unscrew the port where you inflate the board. Push down on the screw button in the middle. Allow a little air to release little by little. Then push all the way down and turn 90 degrees.Overall love my board! Can’t wait to take my dog for a ride and maybe try some yoga once I’m more comfortable !
