But I think it would be. I’d try it on a small inconspicuous section of the fence just in case. **Q: Is this carnauba paste wax?** A: I don't believe it is carnauba. This formula for this wax is very old. It does a great job but is labor intensive compared to todays waxes. **Q: can I remelt or otherwise restore a really old can of Simonize wax? My older can has dried and cracked into three lg pieces, othewise fine.** A: I haven't melted old wax. I have pushed it down to make it one piece. **Q: Is it easy to rub off after it dries ?** A: No not easy. You only need to put it on and leave for about 30 seconds. According to directions do not let it dry.
