It works fine, except that it won't catch the brake / clutch teeth in the thing at the top of the shade which keeps the shade from rolling back down. So I had to find another way to keep the shade rolled up (loop it under the rolled up part, or you could have a bracket to loop it around). Because it's such a great color match and is strong enough, I am not disappointed. **Q: How many feet on a spool** A: I don't know how many feet are on the spool, but I was able to re-string five bamboo blinds and the spool looks almost as full as it was before I started.
