And so, have not tried to crush these type pills. Best to double check with a Pharmacist before using them in this way. I purchased for my dogs new heart meds and it is efficient. It however cannot be used for storage. The little cap for the storage section on the bottom wants to fall off and is not secure. Would not survive travel in your purse or even daily counter use. I dumped several pills at once into food when it popped off and had to trash both food and pills - not able to safely preserve either.
