Review: Very handy and awesome tool - Awesome and very handy tool Review: Great for re-tapping stripped outlet boxes! - Full disclosure, I bought this for one small home improvement job: the screw hole in an external outlet box stripped causing the outlet box to pull away from the house and allowing ants to get inside. I read that the easiest solution to this problem is to re-drill the screw hole and tap for 8-32 screws, hence the need for this tool. At $30 it seemed a little pricey but it’s much cheaper than an electrician (or exterminator). It cut the new 8-32 threads like a hot knife going into butter, which was good because the outlet was behind a large bush limiting my visibility and leverage. The new 8-32 screw fit snugly, and the ants are once again stuck outside.
