There would need to be a support between the two sinks and countertop material is not strong at only 2-3" wide. Depending on how far apart you install them it is possible but the area between the two sinks would need to have extra support added under the countertop material and there would still be a high chance of the countertop cracking in that area. **Q: What size is the drain?** A: The size is that of the larger standard kitchen sink drain. **Q: Can you mount a garbage disposal on this sink? Or would the weight be too much?** A: We don't have a disposal mounted to ours, so my answer is only a guess, nothing more. It's a very sturdy sink and I think a disposal could be mounted to it as long as it's not a really huge one (think Tim the Toolman Taylor, with a 6hp lawnmower engine powering his disposal). If it were me doing it, I'd go ahead and install it, but install a brace underneath (2x4 preferably; 2x2 minimum). That will support the disposal without undue strain on the sink. **Q: What is the final finish over the oxidized copper? laquer? pvd coating?** A: It’s not quite a lacquer but it is like a matte finish of some sort.
