If you have the locks and slides available you can use the locks themselves as a template and do not need the drill extension or collar. Very well designed and a high quality tool kit. Great for a cabinet shop and for when you don't actually have the locks in stock, but way too expensive and not practical for small projects (say less than 20-30 drawer sets or less).
