So, I installed this shutoff valve in-between the aux tank and the 12v fuel pump. I wired both to the same switch, both- open and pump at the same time. My test was about 30 minutes, and I ended up removing the valve from my design. I was hoping to use this as a redundant, fail safe valve, and tried a simple circuit to limit the current at the solenoid, but it still got hot when turned on. Too bad, because for the price this valve is well-built for intermittent operation. **Q: I'm looking for an electric valve that can release co2 at bursts, ideally at least 100 individual bursts from a single 12g cylinder. Can this do?** A: Sounds like you're looking for a high-pressure valve or trigger? This ain't it. A typical bbq propane tank is only 100 or 200 psi. Your 12g is 850/900 psi. **Q: Would this be good for a train horn set up** A: I'm sure it would be. The one I ordered just burned up as soon as I turned it on. I use to have train horns and hooked them up to air and the electric valve I hooked up to regular horn steering wheel.
