The first can I used didn't stop the leak, and the second also didn't, but the compound was still in the system, so realizing it is not having enough contact time with leaking area, I just filled the system again with refrigerant and let the car idle for 2-3 hours with the AC at max, and this time it did its job. It needed more time in contact with the leaking area, and having the AC on for several hours meant the compressor kept it circulating long enough to do it is job. You could attach the coupler and then pull a vacuum on the whole system thru hi port but if you have leaks and you wouldnt be using this if you didnt you will gain nothing. You could place the coupler on the port and eject the air by flowing some of the pink sealing foam into the hose and then snap the coupler into place. could get messy. Dont worry about it and just use the product as directed. It works! **Q: Do you use the whole can ?** A: I would say use the whole can. I have fixed A/C leaks on a 1997 Saturn and a 2004 Toyota Highlander 4 cyl. and used the whole can on both and my vehicles and it fixed the leak. **Q: Can you add this after you have recharged the r34?** A: As long as there is sufficient capacity in your system.
