Many of the songs demonstrate the astounding musical talents of the members, not through flashy boring solos, but with tasty licks and hooks.While not as focused as some of their later efforts, especially "Meanwhile, Back at the Lab," this is a good album to just load into the player and groove along to. Turns out this band just can't evolve their sound, After the closer to the sun release in 2005 I saw them live and was confused since they only played their "punk" songs no reggae or hip hop. I thought that by now these guys would have gotten reggae down a little bit better since it is still amateur sounding, the reggae vocals from these guys sound more like something that should be heard in chant at a catholic church hall The band has talent but they are stuck in time and just can't grow up. The raps are mediocre and are even worse than when they first started out. the album Everything you need was alot different and is more evolved musically. They come outta the post Southern Cali punk ska scene (sublime,no doubt, fishbone, etc..) and are the last of this breed of musicians from that era.
