I have used it on all three with no problems. **Q: Which missing link size should I buy (as a back up) for this chain? 7.1 mm or 7.3 mm?** A: I used the 7.1mm.. **Q: Will the kmc x8.93 6,7,8-speed chain replace the 'narrow hg 40" chain i have on my novara with 8 rings in the rear? all the others say 1/8 not 3:32.** A: I believe it should work fine for you. From what I could find the newest narrow hg 40 chain is 7.1 mm, and this is 7.3 mm.
