I have been just using them for a few months so far (since 11/2019) My need for them: I have a couple of thick nails that need the extra oomph of heavy duty toe nail clippers. I have had a couple pairs of seemingly heavy duty toe nail clippers and they would all break within a year- usually the spring gives out between handles that give it tension. I like the handle- it is easy to grip, easy to add additional strength and pressure without feeling like it will slip out from my hand, also I sense that I don't need to muscle the clippers in order to make a clip. These are easier to use due to their handle coating. The clipping part if sharp and effective. I can cut through a thick nail with ease. I would only use these on my thick nails and prefer to use the other style I mentioned for my normal nails. I never use the weak little traditional nail clippers. No matter what I get, it is always some sort of steel toe nail clipper.
