The Slide is a bit wider and has a bit thicker area around the neck (or shoulder used sling style). I use the Slide on a Nikon D750 with battery grip, and the 1DX ii body weighs almost a pound more. Once you get a 24-70 f2.8 zoom attached you will definitely want the Slide over the Slide Lite.
