Review: Brilliant bit of kit. Protects the wall around the board better than the normal Dartboard surrounds. I have a Winmau Blade 6 PDC board which needed the extra liner for a tight fit otherwise the Defender surround moves around. I then “fixed” the Defender surround using 3M picture strips at the bottom - so this is as fixed as you can get it. I then put my original Blade 6 surround on as it gives it a really nice finish. This does sit slightly proud of the dartboard but that doesn’t bother… looks great in my opinion.

**Q: What are the outside dimensions of the surround when it's all put together?**
A: 45 inches long, 32 inches wide-- it is terrific!

**Q: what is the height between the top of the item and the top of the dart board cut out?**
A: About 5 inches

**Q: Does this help soundproof the dartboard at all?**
A: It’s not behind the board, but rather surrounds the board. If it provides any soundproofing then it’s minimal if none at all.

**Q: Will it work with Grandboard that is 22 inches total in diameter? I am assuming it would tuck behind the edges of the grandbaord S3.**
A: That's an interesting idea. I know that it fit snuggly around my board and uses the board to hold it in place. You'd have to devise something to hold the surround to the wall directly or glue it to the back of the board. However, this will put the dartboard further away from the wall so you will have to devise a way for the board to no accommodate this distance difference. 

Personally, I'd find a different solution.

I was considering buying one of the circular ones to go just around the Dartboard a few inches and save some money. I’m so glad I didn’t and paid the extra. This gives so much more protection for my walls especially for inexperienced throwers, it is thicker and will not allow the dart to hit your wall and fits together very snug. So easy to install as well. It’s six pieces that go around the dartboard and goes together like puzzle pieces.
