I doubt the coating will make any noticeable difference as far as extraction is concerned. I don't have issues with grinds sticking to this basket after pull a shot. I usually leave the portafilter in place while I prep for the next shot or steam milk and empty it after. The slightly smaller holes in the Nanotech version may require an adjustment to the grind size if you are currently using this basket. You're likely going to have to make an adjustment to your grind size if you change from the stock basket to any of the IMS baskets anyway. The extra .5mm depth at the bottom of this basket could give a little more clearance between the coffee and the shower screen if the grinds touching the shower screen is an issue. I would reduce my dosing, but getting a larger basket is also an option. Overall, I doubt the Nanotech version will provide a noticeable difference over this one. One note about this basket is that i found 18 gram dose to be too little for this basket. Get the "up to 18 gram" double basket if that is the dose you prefer.
