Review: Super for sky gaze, not good for general purposes - It is very hard to look at a specific point, as it magnitudes huge, it shakes even if you use a tripod, buy a metal adapter as the included plastic one does not do the job, every tiny touch makes a huge vibration. I would go with a less magnification if you plan to use for general purposes. Otherwise the quality is good and the image is sharp! Update: After a while the vibration of the objects due to 25x (even with a tripod) becomes more annoying, go with less magnification like 15x.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I wondering why so many people have said these work better than their telescopes? If these are 15x and a cheap tele is 100x why are these so great?**
A: The principal feature of a telescope is not magnification, but light gathering power. These 70mm binoculars gather about as much light as a 100mm telescope. But since you are using both eyes, the view will appear better. But even in my case, with a 13" diameter mirror in my scope, before I look for anything my binoculars are out checking out the field of view and much of the time even showing me what my telescope will be looking at. Binoculars force you to learn the sky and not be dependent on any coordinate system. They show you larger objects like the double cluster in Perseus, the Pleiades and Hyades star clusters in Taurus, the Beehive cluster in Cancer and even the Andromeda Galaxy better than you can in a telescope because you simply get to see the object in context. There are some large, face-on galaxies like M-33 and M-101, which are easier to spot in these binoculars than they are in a 10" telescope. Without the context of the black sky behind the object there is no contrast and you can't see it.Even with a large telescope, you'll spend most of your time observing at under 100 power. Selling telescopes by magnification is just taking advantage of newbies because you can obtain any magnification with any telescope depending on what eyepiece you use. The question is "will you be able to see anything?"

**Q: can one side be adjusted seperately for my vision? I have decent vision in left eye and poor vision in right eye. thanks.**
A: I dropped mine and the right side adjustable eye cap piece fell off and the more I look at it it does not even adjust it’s a fake adjuster has anyone else seen this ? The cap goes from -to+ but there is no lens turning 🤷‍♂️

**Q: why do so many people prefer these over the 20x80 and 25x70?**
A: 15x is at the upper limit of what can be hand held. Higher powers would need a tripod to be steady enough. Even at 15x some people would need a tripod or something to lean against. Lower powers give wider fields of view and brighter images. Large binoculars such as 80mm are heavy and need a tripod regardless of magnification. If you want both bright images and high powers look into larger binoculars such as 80 or 100mm.

**Q: how does the tripod adpater hook on? I got it today but im confused how that part hooks on? and then to the tripod.**
A: The adapter screws onto the hinge behind the focus knob. There's a little plastic piece about the diameter of a penny that you have to remove first. It should turn off (ccw--standard right-hand thread) fairly easily. The larger square side of the adapter attaches to your tripod. I believe it's a 1/4-20 thread--pretty standard for small camera tripods.
