These fit my Giant with no problem - apparently pretty standard. **Q: "6 or 7inches" ?? That is a big difference. My grips are 3 1/2 inches long. Those on my wife's bike are only 4 1/2.. Exactly how long are they?** A: They are 5 3/8" long. The hole is about 3/4" in diameter and will obviously stretch to fit a 7/8" diameter handlebar. There is a medium gray soft oval pad with tiny "knurls" (crosshatches) that should face the rider. This is where you rest your palm. The gray "flap" that extends from the end of the handle is where your fingers go. Make sure the Schwinn logo faces up, too. I'm going to try the dish soap and water method to install them, after cleaning handlebar with rubbing alcohol. **Q: The unopened package states that the inside diameter is 22.4mm.
