As a stay at home mom, I try to do a lot of DIY beauty treatments at home and doing my own manicure is one that I enjoy doing myself. There is no need to worry about appointments, being at the salon for a long time, not to mention the cost. When I have a day to myself, I like to take a few hours and enjoy some pampering. I enjoy doing my nails and now it is even better with this manicure bowl.It is very easy to use this bowl and it works very well. I place a few drops of my lavender foot gel soaking solution which works just fine on my hands, and some Epson salt. I also add a cuticle softener directly on my cuticles. Add some hot water and then just place my hand in the bowl. I soak my hand for about 5 minutes and I am ready to trim my cuticles and remove any dead skin. Then I start over when I am ready to do my next hand. Then I moisturize my hands and finish off with finger nail polish.This is a great bowl to have if you enjoy doing your own manicure. The price is very affordable as well. I have had mine for about a year and it is still in great condition. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ But Madge, I'm soaking in it! *by K***O on September 22, 2012* Be just like the professional manicurists and use this little bowl thingie to soak your fingernails in warm soapy water before pushing back your cuticles! The bowl, which looks like a hand citrus juicer, lets you soak your nails while keeping the rest of your hand dry. It also feels cool and super girly, like being at a salon. Unlike the lady in the commercials, I didn't use dish detergent on my nails, but a teeny drop of moisturizing hand soap in warm water. It did a great job on my nails, without drying out my skin like dishwash or smelling like dish soap.Amazon had its usual great price and super quick service, so I have the cool little bowl before I have the rest of the manicure items I ordered at the same time. So until everything arrives, I'm going to play "Madge the Manicurist" and sneak my friends' hands into dish soap. I wonder if any of them will suspect when they get gooey green stuff instead of scented water?Addendum: this little bowl hurts when ex-friends throw it at your head, and the dish soap gets all over my clothes. I use the 15 minute gel/dip soak off and it works perfectly. My hand sits comfortably on the top. Should have bought two at the same time.
