I cleaned and treated the area with Must for Rust, then applied Rerack and let it dry. Appears to be holding up, though the Rerack was lumpy in the bottle and took forever to get it stirred smooth before I could use it. Other than that I am pleased. **Q: Does this product actually stop or convert further. Corrosion of the rack? Or is it just cosmetic and to keep rust temporarily off your plates?** A: My experience is similar to G.Wittenberg's. The coating wears off and rust reappears but when they $150 for a replacement rack, I'll keep using this product until the dishwasher croaks. While it lasts, the rust is kept off the dishes. **Q: Is this any different than an outdoor latex based paint?** A: This performs very differently. It is thick and non-drippy when applying. It lasts great. I put on multiple coats, and it has not budged. Bought this in July 2019. Run my dishwasher every day. The repair looks the same as the day I applied it. I can’t say this for other things outside my house that I’ve painted with outside latex paint. **Q: Can I use it inside of a washer? Paint got off little and it causes rust.** A: I used it on the dish racks and it worked fine. You need a few days because it is best to apply in light layers.If you have rust spots on the dish washer walls I would think you should try to clean with a good cleaning product and if that does not work I believe Rerack will work.
