I was hesitent to purchase as I have NEVER spent this much on shoes before, but they have proven to be a great value for their money considering they have very good durablity. I was also nervous they may be heavy, but they are surprising light. I walked around disney world several days and found them to be more comfortable than my sketchers shoes that I bought specifically to walk in. The leather quality is also beautiful and has not peeled or cracked (and I have put them through a lot). The fit on them is good, though I would recommend going at least 1/2 size down. I usually wear a women's 8.5-9 and the size 8 works well Review: stylish and sturdy - My first pair of Docs!! I got them for my birthday gift to myself. I wore them so often that after about a year and a half they started to come apart, but they were literally the only shoes I wore. Its only one part of the heel/ankle stitching, so I can sew that back together as soon as I am not lazy about it. They are sturdy and after getting them broken in they were the best shoes I wore. I love them and am going to buy another pair soon. Classic black docs are amazing and as long as you aren't walking back and forth to work and basically everywhere else they're going to last a long time. The width can stretch a lot, these conform very well to your feet. These stretched perfectly to me, but took about 5 miles of walking after treating with dr. Martens wonder balsom (not hard to find as accessories to these boots on here) before they where actually comfortable. 10 miles before I decided I loved them. So in your case I would do a men 7 unless you have narrow feet, and the width will stretch to fit.
