My scale needed to-weight accurately in grams-be able to tare between pours-have a stopwatch-be waterproof or highly water resistant-match my decor since it would be on the counterI tried another scale that broke on the first use, and I was skeptical about whether this would work for me either, especially since it can't display time and weight on the same screen. However, the verdict is good. It is easy to shuffle between the stopwatch and the scale modes mid pour, and it fits my other criteria too (the glass top deserves a special mention here. I don't know why dedicated pour over scales don't have this feature. I can't be the only spill prone coffee drinker...). Ultimately I like this even better than the Hario scale, which is significantly more expensive. It is extremely well designed and well made. It is beautifully packaged, and the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that it would be better if the timer/stopwatch function could be displayed on the same screen as the weight measurement. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very pleased! *by A***D on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2018* I love the function and nomenclature of this scale! It is extremely easy to use; one press to change to stopwatch, time and then back to the scale. The scale has the ability to switch to different units of weight measurement. The display is very easy and clear to read. I think the glass top is wonderful looking, sanitary and fits any kitchen layout. This unit also comes with batteries. It was very well packaged and comes with ONLINE instructions that were very easy to understand (you get a code that in input to their website to access the PDF instructions)I took away one star because the scale has malfunctioned a few times. It has failed register touch commands about 4 times since I purchased it; I had to remove the batteries to reset it. In one instance, I was in the process of doing a pour over and watching the grams and the scale switched to the timer and would not switch back. Another instance, I had the scale turned off and it turned on by itself and would not turn off until I removed the batteries to reset it. All that being said, I still love it! I have not replaced the batteries that, based on experience with other electronics, I think that is the reason for the issues.I love this scale and highly recommend! ### ⭐ You get what you pay for. *by D***Z on Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2017* After having used this scale for a time, I find myself unsatisfied. Here is why:1. The buttons cause the scale to be unintentionally turned on and the mode unintentionally changed.2. When the mode is unintentionally changed, the scale locks requiring it to be turned off and back on.3. The scale dims too quickly when waiting to weigh.4. The scale turns off automatically, ruining my tare. This is incredibly inconvenient and enough to bring any review down to 1 star.I really dislike this scale. I cannot count how many times I have weighed coffee beans, turned around to grind and then found the scale off and tare reset as I pour my grounds into the filter basket.I've invested in the Pearl and Lunar from Acaia and expect that experience to far surpass what I consider to be a frustrating disposable scale.
