I wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and it still looks fine. I sometimes forget it’s on my head so I’d say it’s not annoying or heavy. It actually comes with replacement shields. The shields lay a long time, because they are hard and not flemsy like a lot of dental shields. I wouldn’t practice without this shield. I’ve been wearing one since 1992. It’s just like the expensive Op D Op that dental supply companies sell. Trust me. I’ve been three a lot of them over the years . Don’t hesitate to buy if you work in a dental office.
