## Description

This lightweight two-part premium marine epoxy putty is ideal for fairing, filling, and shaping, making it the perfect total boat fairing compound for repairs all over your boat. Because TotalFair bonds strongly and has a high tolerance for flexing without cracking, it's ideal for hulls, decks, keels, topsides and more. It's also great for fixing dings and dents on your car, motorcycle, or rv. This waterproof marine fairing compound can be used above or below the waterline on fiberglass, aluminum, steel, wood and cast iron. TotalFair has a simple 1 to 1 mix ratio and changes to a green color when you mix the blue and yellow components for 3-5 minutes. Its thick, creamy consistency makes this fiberglass fairing compound easy to spread, and helps it hold its shape on vertical and overhead surfaces. If you're fairing a large gouge, we recommend a 6 to 1 width to depth ratio per application. For deep/narrow areas that exceed 6 to 1, you'll need to apply TotalFair in stages, building depth with each application. At 80°F, TotalFair is ready to sand in just 3 hours to a smooth, pinhole-free surface. Be sure to wear protective gloves when mixing, and a proper respirator when sanding cured TotalFair. Do not apply gelcoat directly on cured TotalFair or the gelcoat will not cure properly. Apply TotalBoat 2-Part Epoxy Primer or TotalBoat TotalProtect Barrier Coat before applying gelcoat. Compare TotalFair to two-part epoxy putty products such as Interlux Watertite Epoxy Filler, Awlgrip Awlfair, System Three Quikfair, 3M premium marine filler, Pro Set, 4100 and Pettit EZ Fair. I first saw this product used on a YouTube video. When i needed a product like that I decided to give Total Boat a try. The ease of use and the sandability of the product are excellent. Mixing is easy and almost foolproof. It spreads easy and cures within a reasonable time. It is best to work the cured product when it is firm but a small amount of tackiness remains. Later it will become very hard, however it is still very easy to sand and shape. I highly recommend this product.

Totalfair went on great. Easy to work with and apply, ample application time at 70F. Sands smooth with 100 grit and looks to bond extremely well. Definitely plan on dragging it out thin. I filled a couple .5in holes and they where ready to sand per the instructions. I am a newby at this and it was easy to use and met my expectations. Two points I would change would be price. Since that is a marketing and cost driven equation, and I don't have the numbers to compute it, I'll have to hope the makers aren't fleecing me. A $50 price point would be more palatable for a 2quart quantity. Secondly, a finished color comparison chart or a more precise measuring system to ensure a accurate mix ratio would be handy. This product is great. It was easy to mix, easy to apply, and tomorrow I'll find out if its easy to sand. It gave more working time than I anticipated which was a pleasant surprise. Absolutely does not move or sag. I even applied over tacky epoxy (not sure if that's recommended by this product but generally ok with similar products) and it adhered well. I'm very pleased. I can never get this perfect consistency by mixing West System epoxy with fillers. And when I do, its already kicking in the pale. Worth the money.
