This thing works like a charm when it came to that purpose and love the battery which lasts great deal and also the fact that I can recharge or replace the battery later on if I need to. The light is super bright which is great and also has less bright mode which is nice for steaks so that they look like a descent color. When it came super handy was when my daughter got lice and we had to get rid of them in her hair and having this light on your head with super bright color, we were able to pick out all the buggers in one sitting and helped big time. Ever since then I use this all the time for anytime I need a flash light.
