Not only is it one of the most requested books in our home, I love that it teaches safety and natural consequences. Well done to the authors who have a situation in which Danny, the main character loses his family and needs to ask a safe adult to help him. This was a great conversation starter for our kids if this were to ever happen. We have all three books from this series but I think this one is my favorite. It teaches compassion, making healthy decisions and how to manage emotions. This should be a staple in all elementary school aged kids’ homes. The choices make it fun for the kids as they can make “good or not so good” decisions with how to proceed. Even if they choose the “not so good” choice they can see how a possibly poorer outcome can happen. I can’t say this enough- I highly recommend.
