However, one of my criteria for a smartphone was that it had to have a 3.5mm port for a headset. This allowed me to plug in a headset while driving - while the phone was charging. When I got my replacement phone I was disappointed to see the 3.5mm was not there. This product seemed to be the only solution. I do not use it much, so my review is based on very limited use. I did try it out and it does function as intended - I can charge the phone while using the headset. It's a bit cumbersome compared to what I had: first I need to plug the charger (cigarette) into this charger, then plug this micro adapter into my phone - then plug the headset into this device.
