It has a toms of places to store things and is a great value for the price.High quality build materials as well.I would certainly recommend this to anyone ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Took it through TSA checks all week. *by C***M on November 8, 2024* Great little bag, wish it was a bit wider as in you can expand the bag further without it feeling tight against my XP unit. But all in all very happy.I will say this, I have a Nintendo switch, my XP orx and my HF coil, my stem to the unit, and keys chargers etc. bag weighs 17lbs. Loaded.I had x2 Milwaukee 5.0 batteries where the headphone pocket goes. Each weighing 1.2lbs =2.4lbs it gets very heavy between the shoulder blades.I pulled everything out a few times to make sure I didn't pack a brick or two. Sure felt like it while walking and standing in the airports all week. ( I fly for work and store my work batteries with my carry ones)Not sure how heavy this bag is alone, but it's solid. I'm happy overall. I just know if I wish to be in the field all day. Don't bring to much extras as it will detour your hunting hours pretty quickly. It will fatigue you. I have only one coil and id imagine once I pull my unit out and headphones etc. it would help but not sure how much yet. It's already the lightest detector on the market. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice bag with some design annoyances *by A***3 on January 26, 2023* Disclaimer: I assume this was designed for the XP series of detectors. I am using this for my Equinox 800 (pictured) with a telescoping carbon fiber shaft, modified armrest / stand, folding control box adapter, and the smallest coil (6").Summary: Overall, I like this backpack, but it does have some design annoyances. It is well made, with quality materials and construction. It is lightweight, sturdy, and very comfortable. There are several very useful features. I like being able to head out to my search area with everything I need in a lightweight package and without drawing unwanted attention. Eventually, this did the trick.Detailed Review: I have numbered callouts in Photo 1 to make the review easier to consume.#1 & #2: These tie-downs and dual straps are very useful for large items that do not fit well in the backpack such as the bottom of my sand scoop, that I modified into a 2-piece. It also keeps the weight of the contents close to your back which is ideal for comfort and reducing strain. (See Photo 2)#3: The waist belt sits on your hips to help secure and share the load between your hips and shoulders. Another standard feature that you find in quality backpacks for general purposes.#4: This is a very narrow pocket but sufficient in size to fit my MineLab 35 pinpointer.Now we get to some of the annoyances all related to the internal compartments.#5: The zipper for the two larger main compartments ends at the top of the pinpointer compartment and only extends about 2/3 the way down on the other side. The material is heavy duty and will not stay folded over. Even if it did, it would still be difficult to get items in and out of those shallow compartments. To make matters worse, the larger compartment (closest to the front of the pack) has a divider inside on the left-hand side that is hard to see and snags objects you are placing inside.#6: I am not sure what this pocket was intended to do but the underside of the pocket has Velcro attached to a blind spot in the top compartment, making it very difficult to slide items in, as the bottom left area is effectively Velcro’ d shut with this design.The last minor annoyance is the included Molle style cell phone holder. It does not fit my Samsung S21 Ultra when it is in its case. May be a non-issue for many people and I can replace that with a larger one if I find a need for it.So, what did I do? Of course, I modified my equipment and backpack to meet my needs.Mod 1: I replaced the stock shaft with the carbon fiber telescoping shaft.Mod 2: I replaced the stock control box mount with a folding mount.Mod 3: I cut off most of the stand tabs as it made the difficult to get the detector in and out of the bag and frankly, I do not use the stand anyway.Mod 4: Not originally a mod for the bag as I was using the 6” coil anyway, but the bigger coils for my Nox would fit while attached to the detector.Note: After these mods, the detector is ~25” which is the length of the bag. Perfect! (see Photo 3)Mod 5: I cut out the divider inside the top compartment so that items would slide in more smoothly without snagging. No loss, I could not come up with a purpose for my needs.Mod 6: I could not find a way to remove or effectively cover the Velcro behind the pocket in #6, so I just cut out the internal pocket where the Velcro was attached. The pocket is not very functional now, but frankly, once again, I did not see a use for it.Mod 7: I modified my small sand scoop into two adjoining sections allowing me to carry with the backpack. (See photo). If the back were a smidge deeper, I might be able to fit the business end of the scoop in the bag as well, which would be optimal for travel and concealment.Summary: In the end, this was a terrific upgrade over the large and heavy fabric bow case that I was using. I was able to get the lightweight, comfortable portability, and concealment that I was seeking.
