Review: First 3D printer - Never had a 3D printer before, so if you're looking for a super technical review then I won't be able to help. But... For a first time user, it really wasn't bad to build, about 10 hours in total. Instructions are good. Tools that come with it are not. Having the proper tools would have saved me a ton of time. Then after initial calibration... It's basically been running non-stop (Literally). Running just fine with PLA (Haven't tested other materials yet), overall no complaints. A few failed prints but I'm willing to bet that's more me not knowing the limits of a 3D printer than actual faults of the printer (Who knew you couldn't print plastic on thin air and expect it to stay there?) The display is... Dated to say the least (Looks like a LCD display from 20 years ago) but that's not a big deal. And considering that's the biggest gripe I have with the printer... Very happy with it overall. Although the display is dated, Prusa's slicing software is not... And even for a complete novice like me it's really easy to use and tweak. And the auto bed leveling is so nice, did one calibration when setting it up and it's been printing fine without any tweaking ever since. And the best part is... Down the line if part of the printer breaks... Most of it you can just 3D print, and Prusa will give you the gcode to do it. So you can literally have spares of every (plastic) part just sitting around in a box somewhere and it'd cost you next to nothing. And most of it... Is plastic.
Review: This Printer Is Reliable - First I bought an Ender 3 V2 and that worked OK for about 2 weeks as long as I managed to get that first layer to stick. Then I learned about flexible Filaments and wanted to try those, so I returned the Ender 3 V2 for the Ender 3 S1 Pro. The S1 Pro worked well for about a week then at around 3 to 4 hours into a print the hotend would smack into the left rear corner of the print, knocking it from the bed. Spent a week trying to figure out the issue then sent that back defective. Finally decided to just buy this Prusa. The price was hard pill to swallow, but this thing just works. The bed sheet it comes with is awesome for small detail PLA prints and got a textured sheet for PETG. First I printed all of this printers PETG printed parts for backup, a dragon with moving joints, a …………and on and on... The think is been going almost non stop since I got it. It only failed do to my mistake in the slicer were something needed a brim or support.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Bought the kit, there were no gummy bears. Did you eat my gummy bears?**
A: Yes, they were awesome!

**Q: Title says "kit" but review below says fully assembled. Which is it?**
A: its the kit! NOT assembled

**Q: Why is this $300 more than what it sells from Prusa directly?**
A: Actually the last one I ordered direct from Prusa was $938.48 after paying for shipping and import duties so it is really only $3.25 more.

**Q: Can you use in regular room in ordinary house or do you need enhanced ventilation to remove VOC emissions?**
A: Regular room is fine for PLA and PETG. You do not want to sit in the same enclosed room while it prints multiple hours a day regardless of material. Printing temperature plays a role in VOCs emissions along with the material. Always research the filaments prior to printing. I have an air purifier with activated charcoal in the room and an enclosure I can vent out the window when printing things like ABS and ASA.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Printer
*by N***A on January 17, 2023*

I took my time and spent 12 hours assembling the printer. While waiting for it to arrive, I downloaded the manual and read it thoroughly so I had an idea of what to expect. I also watched a few YouTube videos showing the complete assembly that were particularly useful. I had one question for Prusa that I submitted by email and received a clear and concise reply within one hour. It all worked flawlessly after assembly, but final tuning of the print head Z offset (Live Z) had me confused. However, I posted my questions to the Prusa Community forum and they were extremely friendly and helpful and had me printing flawless models in no time. Highly recommend this printer. The print quality met and exceeded my expectations. The company and community support is standard setting.
