Warm or hot can cause cracks apparently. Works great! **Q: How many ounces of liquid does the cup hold?** A: The cup holds 24 ounces, but, if you put that much liquid in, the kava will be very diluted. Also, the ball won't move around much, which defeats the purpose of this gadget. So I'd use 12 ounces of liquid, at most, or a larger container and 2 balls. **Q: Could you just use any protien shaker with kava?** A: I wouldn't. You don't really want to drink the root, just infuse the water with it. A protein shaker would just mix it all together.
