The 'Sealer' penetrates and seals the marble to resist spotting and discoloration, so you have to give it time to penetrate during each application. When you apply the sealer, some areas absorb more and other don't, and remain wet, which is why they tell you towel dry it after each appellation. The process requires a few applications, and Stonetech has clear and concise instructions online. Our counter was 8' X 2' with a backsplash, not very big, so rather than use a paint roller or paint brush (as recommended), I bought (at Home Depot) a square applicator made for edging paint, which includes some helpful rollers, so you can edge right up to wall without smearing the sealer on your painted walls. The pad on the applicator worked perfectly and after 3 applications I followed the instructions and waited just a few minutes for the sealer to dry on the last application and quickly buffed/toweled the sealer to a nice clear shine. If you don't follow this last step, you will be left with a dull streaky finish. For any area that did not buff out completely clear, apply a bit more sealer and buff again. The results were fantastic, and the marble has a nice shine with all of it's natural characteristics of unique veins and coloring. The one issue they mention is that you must let the sealer completely dry before using the area....they recommend 6-12+ hours....I did this on a Sunday afternoon, watched a football game during the applications and by Monday morning it was ready to use. Total application time 3 NFL football quarters, or about 2 hours in non football time. Will this preserve the honed look or will it make it shiny?** A: My experience is that it doesn't make any granite I've put it on turn shiny. **Q: Does it affect the grout color?** A: No it does not change grout color.... Bullet Proof Sealer is Clear like water. **Q: What is the color of the liquid please? I had just purchased this product and the liquid was a very slight tinged of brown. Definitely not clear.** A: Hello Mauli yes this product does have what we would call a yellowish ting to it. If even if your stone is white you should not should not see difference after using this product. **Q: Can this be used on a concrete countertop?** A: Not sure, concrete may be too porous. Just a word of forworning, I had previously bought one bottle, and based upon the directions of the first bottle, I thought I would need another bottle to completely seal our new granite countertops. Particularly when the directions said to keep the surface wet for 15 minutes. As it turns out I didn't even use half of the first bottle so keep that in mind when ordering. The directions also said to use in a well-ventilated area, but no one in our family noticed any particular strong smell so take that for what it's worth.
