The level of detail is really quite remarkable... and should be considering the very high price. The backhoe can be separated from the front loader and my son loves that. He will take the backhoe arm off and use it as a front loader for a few days then want the backhoe arm back on so he can excavate a new construction dig. I was initially concerned that the toy was going to break easily after reading some of the negative reviews.... he plays pretty good with it in sand and mulch for the past several months and it hasn't broken yet. It's one of the few toys he plays with pretty much every single day and he will ask for it pretty much all the time.
