That a small annoyance & eventually most usb connections get too loose due to usage. I use a set of recharging batteries which work really well. It’s nice & bright. Only 2 things to improve - there is 3 light settings w/o being able to adjust them (no dimming steps). Also, the battery case screws on so it’s a minor annoyance to when you need to replace them. However, for the portability, I’ll deal with the inconvenience. I use this for drawing, weeding vinyl, cutting & aligning precise sewing patterns, embossing paper crafts, jewelry crafting, a desk, etc. The light pad gets a lot of abuse but has held up well. I haven’t seen any defects from all my projects. It’s thicker than some other brands but very light. Price point was great & if the manufacturer reads this, please make a version that doesn’t have screws on the battery compartment PLEASE!!!
