You would have to be able to change it through a Bluetooth conection. Thus if the unit is within close proximity of a fixed bluetooth device and you could manipulate it remotely then it might work for you. **Q: can it work for a full year with any program or does ir have a max of 7 days scheduling?** A: It lets you schedule to recur on specific days of the week, so if you wanted to set it to run, say MWF, or TThSat, or every day, that recurrence will continue as long as the battery lasts. You can check the battery status on the app, and turn the programs on, off, or change them from the app. I've got three of these now, and they work well - I typically set the program once for the summer season, and don't have to do anything until I'm ready to turn it off for the winter - but no reason it couldn't run all year. The battery also lasts me all year.
