The 5700 does not. So no slop when trying twist the pulley sideways.I measured the thickness of the new pulleys vs. the 5700 with a dial caliper, This seem narrower. This kit is .004 inch narrower than the RD5700 105.There are no instructions that came with the kit. To determine which is the guide pulley(bottom), one of the pulley will have a wedge teeth.Top pulley will not have any wedge on the teeth. Arrows goes to the direction of chain when pedaling.Easy enough to install. REAR wheel off, do one pulley at a time by loosing both pulley bolt, remove bottom first, then do the top last, Or what ever works for someone else.After a few rides, the difference from RD 5700 pullley to this kit is shifting is more spot on. I can't describe it but it more instantaneous.With this stated, definitely a good upgrade. Recommended buy.
