    Avoid the 2015 Millcreek release!

*by I***G on Reviewed in the United States on May 8, 2019*

Beware! This complete series set has 2 different releases and there is a drastic difference in quality. The first release was in 2008 by Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. This set contains 12 discs. The cover of this set has a small picture of the cast surrounded by a silver border background. The discs are stacked directly on top of each other on a single spindle tray which is house inside of a cardboard box. This set has every episode, including "The Injury". There are audio commentaries by the cast and crew for 70(!) of the episodes, as well as gag reels and other small bonuses. The picture quality is good and there are optional Portuguese subtitles. The menus are nice looking and have preview screenshots of each episode. Unfortunately this set is now out of print. The second release was in 2015 by Millcreek Entertainment. This set contains 9 discs. The cover of this set has a full-size picture of the cast with red lightning bolts around Dave's head. The discs are housed in individual paper sleeves which is house inside of a plastic case. This set is missing the episode "The Injury", even though it is listed on the disc's label. There are no special features at all. The picture quality is noticeable poorer than the Sony release. There are no optional subtitles. The menus are very generic looking and do not have any screenshots. Unfortunately this is the only set currently in print.Do yourself a favor and track down the 2008 Sony release of this set, and avoid the 2015 Millcreek release as it doesn't do this show justice. The packaging for both releases is very poor, so I put the 2008 Sony discs in a 12-discs dvd case and cut up the cardboard box to make a sleeve for the case. Also, some of the discs in the 2015 Millcreek set came with scratches and the set was factory sealed.

Complete Series? No. Missing an episode.

*by B***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2018*

The episode called 'The Injury' from Season 3, episode 25 of the NewsRadio series - which shows on these disks as being at the end of Season 2 (labeled as episode 22) is completely missing from this 'complete series' dvd collection. This is not a complete series, and I would not recommend for others to buy it. I wish I would have read more closely, so I leave this review for others in hopes they see that this series is incomplete and can avoid my mistake. That said, the show itself was excellent. I would just probably find a different offering if you are after the 'complete' series. This is not it.

    It's... Ok, for the price.

Oof. Where to begin with this set. Everything is cheaply made. The box is very cheap, thin, cardboard, and the print thereof looks like it was made using MS Paint in no more than 25 minutes. The discs come in these cheap cardboard sleeves, like what they use at 7/11 to sell the $1 movies in the Bargain Bin.The disc themselves are cheaply printed as well, and worst of all : they're not split individually by Season. Sometimes you'll find a couple of episodes from the following season at the end of 1 disc. This was obviously done to cut back and try and squeeze as many episodes in 1 disc as possible. So, you better watch all discs sequentially and not lose your place. All discs look the same and not clearly marked for which season they contain except for a "season _", in red on top of the titles of the episodes, but with the same font and size. No clearly marked big number, no color distinction between discs. The image quality is as poor as you'd expect. The menu to play the episodes, again, not really clearly distinguished between seasons. Many times I actually had to IMDB just to find the correct order of the episodes. One big plus is the retention of the 4:3 format. (which crackle doesn't do)Unfortunately, this is one of the very few ways to watch this amazing sitcom. It's one of my favorites, so I didn't mind paying the 15 bucks it costs. But if they were coming out with a better version, maybe a blu ray, with better quality, I would hold off for that.
