Note that USB 3.0 Standard-B plugs can NOT fit into a USB B receptacle that is not 3.0 capable. So you can't simply use this to connect your 3.0-capable laptop to a non-3.0-capable printer that has the standard 2.0 version of the USB B receptacle.
