It supports our small Blu-ray player without any problems. We have about 20 DVDs on the top two shelves and our Blu-ray player and 5 DVDs on the bottom shelf. The shelf unit also looks very nice. The shelves are adjustable at different heights. The directions were clear and it was easy to put together. No parts were missing. I mounted this next to my TV and had no problem. There only problem I have with it is that the screws used to attach it to the wall are phillips head and not hex.
