I've tried Teva Kateva thong but too tight on the straps...** A: These are great for my Flintstone feet. Another one that's good for wide feet is Sanuk. Also I normally wear a 9.5-10 shoe but for slippahs (flip flops) I need to get a size 11 **Q: what is the length of the sandal?** A: I wear a size 10 and they are 11.5 inches or 29.2 cm measured from the bottom down the center line. **Q: I often have to size up when buying sandals, especially for other surf brands like reef. should i size up with the ohana?** A: I have worn the Ohana for years and have purchased several pairs. I wear a 13D (almost always) in street and running shoes. A size 12M in the Olukai Ohana has always fit me best. I can't compare with other brands of sandals, except Adidas slides. Here I wear a 12 as well. **Q: Are these comfortable for flat feet? Are they heavy?** A: I find them quite comfortable with just enough arch support for my moderately flat feet. Not too heavy either - heavier than the el cheapo's I've worn in the past, yes, but they provided no support at all and usually led to aching feet.
