Review: Great product!! Save me $500 - This was perfect. My Carrier furnace fan stopped working. I inspected the ECM and found this burned and cracked. I soldered this in. Took about 20 minutes. FYI I went ahead and replaced my motor bearing while I was there. They are a 6203 type beating, shielded on both sides. They are on odd dimension. 40mm outside diameter and 1/2" inside diameter. The whole thing cost me about $20 with the bearings. I get a discount at HVAC supply houses so a new motor and ECM would have cost me $500. If I had called out a HVAC guy it would have been $1200 part and labor. Over a month later and still working great. It's hot and my AC is running every few minutes.
Review: Inexpensive fix for furnace blower motor - My blower stopped working on my Carrier AC/Furnace. I had researched the trouble code and found some references that a blown thermistor could be the issue. However, I really didn't want to mess with it, so I called the HVAC company to have a look. The service tech said it was likely the ECM. He said the part would be over $900 to install. Of course he explained that the furnace was over 25 years old and other expensive things could happen. He did say, looking at the tools laying around that I looked pretty handy and could probably repair the board. The furnace, while older, was a top of the line high efficiency unit. I didn't really feel like dropping lots of money on a new one, so I thought I would give the repair a try. I'm comfortable replacing board components and have done so several times in the past. I found the thermistor other places for less money. But with shipping the were the same or more than this one and desertcart could get me it the next day. The part arrived. I removed the blower motor and ECM. Desoldered the old thermistor. Soldered in the new thermistor. Cleaned the blower while I had it out. Reassembled everything. Turned the furnace on and I was back in business. I know the guy who runs the HVAC company. He called to see if I had success. Told him it worked great and that, despite Carriers rumored policies against repair, he should considered doing the repair for other clients in the future.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved me between $1000 and $2500
*by M***. on June 18, 2018*

AC stopped working so I called a professional to diagnose the problem. He ran several tests and determined the problem was the control assembly for the blower motor. They don't make my particular model of control assembly, so he said I had two options. I could get a brand new blower motor with assembly installed for $1000, or I could get a new indoor unit for about $2500. I chose option C. Paid him for his diagnosis, opened the diagnosed part myself and found the burned thermistor. Watched a few YouTube videos on how to solder in a new one, and presto! The AC blower fan worked again and the house is a normal temperature.
