**Q: Can this be used w/ 2" x 3" smooth metal downspouts? (The actual dimensions are about 1 3/4" x 2 3/4", squared corners/non-corrugated.)**
A: Yes. This should fit your downspout. It is rubber/flexible. So you will need to squeeze it in order to insert it into the smaller hole that you make the downspout & then it will expand & fill the space. Even if it is 1/2 in wider than you downspout, the sides will just form a deeper "bowl" to catch the water. I have been very happy with how mine is functioning and just purchased another unit to use with my new rain barrels.

**Q: Is there a version of this that can be installed on the side of the gutter (3 in side) and not the face of it?**
A: Take a look at this one. It goes through the side and not the face. I have TWO and they both work better than the "Face" one.

**Q: Is it normal for a barrel top to overflow despite having the diverter installed during especially intense downpours?**
A: Make sure the diverter and the hole in the side of the container are on the same horizontal plane to minimize any issue with water not being able to transfer easily. Is it possible that the force of the water and water volume might overwhelm the diverter, perhaps. But the opening in the diverter to the hose to the container is the limiting factor for water being able to get to the container.

**Q: How to extend the pipe?**
A: Just pull it end from end. It’ll make a popping noice as it is extended

The EarthMinded FlexiFit Diverter was really easy to install and very effective. No need to cut your downspout (just one hole added). I watched videos showing installation of various diverters and this is the easiest. Works very well. I was skeptical of the overflow function allowing water to continue down the downspout, but the design does seem to work. Its easy to install. If you can turn a screwdriver and use a drill you can do this. Mine is has been in use for 2 seasons and is still going strong. No leaks! This is the second one I've bought and can recommend it.
